Großer Fassenachts-Auftakt der Gemeinschaft Frankfurter Fassenacht- GFF-
With big HELAU takes place on 11.11. at 18.11. clock, on the 4th floor of the MyZeil the opening of the Fassenachts campaign 2016/17 under the motto "Mir habbe Spass, es wird gelacht, die GFF mescht Fassenacht" takes place.
Run by Frankfurt's modern and innovative association "Gemeinschaft Frankfurter Fassenacht" (GFF), visitors to MyZeil can expect a grandiose spectacle when around 100 Fassenacht performers ride up Europe's longest cantilevered escalator in MyZeil, then set off fireworks of good humour on the 4th floor with a view of the cathedral and Frankfurt.

Through the sensational Fassenacht program for the beginning of the 5th season leads the president of the GFF, Marcus Rahner.
The head of the department of culture, Dr. Ina Hartwig, is appointed honorary cap bearer of the GFF - Gemeinschaft Frankfurter Fassenacht. The presidium of the GFF is of the opinion that one must possess a great deal of humour in order to hold one's own in the Frankfurt magistrate's office. That is why Stefan von Wangenheim, a city councillor for many years, will also receive this award.
Mayor Uwe Becker, who is also one of the honorees, will not be able to be present that day, but will be presented with the cap at a later date. Uwe Becker has not only shown humor in the Fassenacht, but also courage, in which he sits for many years in the 11er council of the Frankfurt rainbow session, the original and only session for gays and lesbians.
The MyZeil has -even if on this day celebration mood is announced- thought of charitable work and specially prepared a check, which the MyZeil hands over together with the GFF to the Outpatient Children and Youth Hospice Service. A total of 1,333.33<x>ampersand</x>euros; can thus be handed over.
The GFF is collecting again this year for the outpatient children's hospice service Frankfurt and is already looking forward to many celebrities swinging the can on this day.
The Gemeinschaft Frankfurter Fassenacht - GFF for short - is an association of committed citizens from Frankfurt am Main, which was founded on 12 August 2015 and is committed to preserving the customs of the Frankfurt Fassenacht and wants to expand the promotion of young people. The MyZeil Frankfurt offers around 100 shops on five levels on approximately 44,000 sqm of retail space.
