Hesse's first French fries vending machine is located at the TaunaBad in Oberursel in the Taunus region near Frankfurt and is causing quite a stir. The machine fries kilos of fresh fries every day in just 35 seconds, making it a real highlight.
For 3 euros, the customer receives around 100 grams of fries, which are automatically weighed, fried and seasoned by the machine if desired. The oil is automatically replaced after six portions at the latest and later recycled.
Behind the scenes, up to 10 kilograms of fries and 30 liters of oil are cooled, deep-fried and stored in the vending machine. To ensure fast service, some portions are pre-fried and finished as required. Unsold fries are automatically disposed of after one hour. The vending machine is very popular and is proving to be a useful addition to the existing kiosk offering at the TaunaBad.
