From Monday, October 7 until September 2025, Oeder Weg between Glauburgstraße and Lersnerstraße will be a one-way street in the direction of Glauburgstraße due to urgent sewer work by Stadtentwässerung Frankfurt (SEF).
It is recommended that motor vehicles avoid the roadworks via Eckenheimer Landstraße. Cyclists heading towards Lersnerstraße will be diverted via Fürstenbergerstraße and Wolfsgangstraße. Pedestrians can pass the roadworks.
Metrobus route M36 via Eckenheimer Landstraße
The Metrobus route M36 in the direction of Hainer Weg in Sachsenhausen will be diverted via Glauburgstraße and Eckenheimer Landstraße between the Hynspergstraße and Alte Gasse stops. The stops Adlerflychtplatz to Peterskirche will be omitted.
In Oeder Weg there is an additional stop Paul-Hindemith-Anlage, which shortens the walk to the next scheduled or replacement stop. The Westbahnhof direction of travel and the short trips on the M36 metro bus line between Sachsenhausen Hainer Weg and Eschenheimer Tor are not affected by this measure.
Background to the SEF's work
The reason for the renewal measure is immense damage to the historic sewer, which dates back to 1876. The city drainage department discovered this during the systematic sewer inspection and classified the renovation of the sewer as urgently necessary due to the associated hazard potential.
The construction work itself is being carried out at a depth of more than five meters underground using what is known as the "mining method". Further information on this can be found at stadtentwaesserung-frankfurt.de.
