On Saturday, November 16, the initiative "We are all Frankfurters" and the Studienkreis Deutscher Widerstand 1933 - 1945 association were awarded the Walter Möller Plaque for their outstanding commitment during a festive ceremony. The award was presented by Lord Mayor Mike Josef and City Councillor Hilime Arslaner. The award, which is presented every two years, is endowed with 10,000 euros and commemorates former Lord Mayor Walter Möller.
Mayor Josef praised the study group, which was founded in 1967 by former resistance fighters and victims of Nazi persecution, for its decades-long commitment to the culture of remembrance. Special recognition was given to the memorial and educational site "Geschichtsort Adlerwerke", which contributes to historical education. Head of Cultural Affairs Ina Hartwig added that the study group always creates topical references through thematic extensions.
The initiative "We are all Frankfurters" was honored for its commitment to democracy and social cohesion. City Councillor Arslaner emphasized that the initiative reflects the diversity of Frankfurt society and sends a strong signal for humanity and community.
