In the hotel industry, the industry meeting "Schlummer Atlas Top50 Hoteliers" has a high significance, which was also shown by the guests and award winners present and the great quality of the evening.
The industry get-together Top50 Hoteliers takes place once a year and is a networking event for interdisciplinary exchange between the top decision-makers of the hotel industry as well as selected representatives of the industry. A central component of the event is the personal honouring of Germany's Top50 Hoteliers as well as the 10 best German hoteliers operating abroad, by the Schlummer Atlas editorial team of the Busche publishing house.
In the run-up to the appointment of the general managers to the circle of the Top50 Hoteliers, all persons to be honoured are reviewed on the basis of the criteria service orientation, food <x>ampersand</x> beverage background, service level of reception, personnel management, administration/controlling, purchasing policy and sales/marketing competences. In doing so, the editorial team, which is assisted in the selection of the Who's Who of the industry by renowned hotel expert Heinz Horrmann, makes sure that the award winner has valid expertise in all of the aforementioned categories, the necessary empathic skills and a resume that is appropriate to his or her position. Furthermore, the Schlummer Atlas editorial team attaches great importance to the fact that the circle of honoured persons on the one hand represents the figureheads of the German luxury hotel industry and on the other hand also honours representatives of the hotel industry who have a special position within the industry due to their commitment and exemplary behaviour. For this reason, the latter do not necessarily have to find assignment in the 5-star category.
The Top50 Hoteliers industry get-together was first organised by the Busche publishing house in 2008.
