Under the Niederräder Bridge hides a real gem of Frankfurt: The Orange Beach. Actually, the whole thing is just a somewhat larger kiosk with fancy seating, which includes beer benches as well as deck chairs and beach chairs. But with a bit of beach feeling and quite a lot of charm, this place has very quickly achieved cult status and enjoys enormous popularity, not only among cyclists and walkers.
Though, in early 2014, the involuntary end seemed to have come for Orange Beach: Burglars set a fire, to which the kiosk completely fell victim. But owner Olaf Gries was not discouraged by this - nor by the fact that a short time later the construction trailer on the site was also set on fire. With a lot of support from friends and regular guests and enormous commitment, the Orange Beach was rebuilt so that it could go on again in the summer of 2014.
The Orange Beach scores with a large selection of drinks at fair prices, including a wide range of beers, but of course also cider, soft drinks or coffee. In addition, there are also tasty snacks on offer and in good weather there is also sausage from the grill. Sitting in a deck chair with a cool drink, burying your feet in the sand and watching the ships pass by on the Main is pure holiday feeling - albeit with a hint of industrial romanticism, which is always evident when the trains thunder past above the heads of the guests. But what may sound disturbing actually also adds to the very special charm of this location.
Sundays there is also regular live music between 5 and 8 pm. If the weather is good, it becomes clear at the latest then how popular the Orange Beach is with its guests. The crowd here is very mixed, the atmosphere is actually always very relaxed and warm. You simply feel good here and like to come back! From us there is a clear: Recommendable!
