Frankfurt is a tea city with tradition. Negotiations and politics were made over tea, and a lot of money was made from tea. We will visit some of the tea shops and tea parlours in the city centre, illuminate the beginnings of the tea culture and the tea trade in Frankfurt and how they were embedded in the respective contemporary political, social and cultural environment.
