Mainz: Lots of news in the Prädikat Wine Estates! Every year at ProWein, we give you an overview of changes and innovations in wine and estate, location and equipment, as well as staff and market. You can look forward to new wines, new faces and new appearances. Thus, the implementation of the further developed VDP.KLASSIFIKATION is progressing. - A lot of new things at the Winery Reichsrat von Buhl! Lease of the previous operators of the winery, Tokuoka family on 31 December 2013, expired after 24 years;
- Since 1. December 2013, Richard Grosche - last editor-in-chief of Meininger's Weinwelt and Sommelier Magazine, director of the Mundusvini international wine academy - has taken over the management;
- Mathieu Kauffmann - working as chef du cave for the past twelve vintages at the Bollinger champagne house - could be won as cellar master. He has already started his work as technical director and cellar master at Reichsrat von Buhl in September. Thus, the 2013 vintage is his premiere vintage in the Palatinate.
- In sales, two important, already well-known employees will remain active: Frank Lucas (southern Germany, the east of Germany and now increasingly North Rhine-Westphalia) and Monika Schmid (Baden and Germany's north, contact for key account and export customers). On site: Klaus Küsters with the Vinothe team;
- Werner Sebastian (with Reichsrat von Buhl since 2004), who has driven the conversion from conventional to organic viticulture, remains field manager.
