Since the end of 2015, the Westend has been enriched by a culinary highlight: owner Yanli Ding-Stein, operator of the popular Pak Choi in the Bahnhofsviertel, has dedicated herself here together with Cheng Zhao from the restaurant China Town entirely to Northern Chinese cuisine. And noodles are "the thing that everything revolves around". It goes without saying that all the noodles here are homemade. The dishes are not an interpretation of Asian cuisine, no dishes adapted to European tastes, but traditional, authentic noodle dishes from China.
Whether cooked, brought, hot or cold - here everyone who appreciates authentic Chinese cuisine gets the right noodle dish. There are several versions of the famous noodle soup, such as lamb soup with daylily, morels and goutsi berries, or a vegetarian version with shitake mushrooms and soy egg. Also on the menu are fried wheat noodles, for example with minced meat, cucumber, carrot, bean sprouts and black soy bean sauce. But also glass noodles in different variations, dim sum with pork and salads please the palate of the guests. When it comes to drinks, in addition to the green tea, the homemade lemonade and the homemade iced tea are particularly recommended.
It didn't take long after opening for word to spread among Chinese about the restaurant's authentic cuisine - thanks to the good quality of the food, but also the perfect location. But Ding-Stein and her team didn't have to wait long for German guests either. In the meantime, their clientele is mixed - quality wins through.
