(kus) To mark the 207th anniversary of the birth of the famous naturalist Charles Darwin in February, the conservation ambassadors of the Frankfurt Zoo and Zoological Society (ZGF) invite visitors to the Faust Bird Halls on 12 February from 10 am to 4 pm. Darwin researched for a long time in South America, where the Frankfurt Zoological Society has been active for over 25 years. To mark his birthday, the Conservation Ambassadors have put together a programme all about the British explorer and the ZGF's conservation work in South America.
Why do Darwin's finches have different beak shapes? What adventures did Darwin have on his nearly five-year voyage on the research vessel Beagle? These and other questions are answered in a vivid and playful way. In addition, a quiz invites children and adults to test their knowledge of the great natural scientist and to approach the topic of evolution in a fun way. Regular zoo admission prices apply.
