On March 18, 2020, it was "lights out" at the e-cinemas. Since then, the projectors in the traditional cinema have been at a standstill, the popcorn machine has been out of action and popular events such as the Sneak, Cinema for Children or Ladies First have not been able to take place for a year and a half. When the operating family then also had to part with the Eldorado - which fortunately could be saved by the Arthouse Kinos Frankfurt - and the e-cinemas did not reopen after the end of the first, nor after the second lockdown like other houses, a reopening still during the pandemic seemed more and more unlikely.
But now, finally, the good news: after about 1.5 years, the E-cinemas will celebrate their reopening on Thursday, September 16! Initially, only the four largest halls of the house will be played. In the cinema, masks are compulsory for both guests and staff, and can only be removed at the seat. It is also important to keep your distance at all times and to follow the marked paths. Visits to the e-cinemas are possible in accordance with the 3G regulations. A current valid proof must be brought along. For students from Hesse, the test booklet in conjunction with a student ID is valid as test proof.
If possible, the online ticket purchase should be used. This will also automatically capture the necessary contact information, which then does not need to be done at the movie theater.
