Once again this year, the tradition-rich Circus Carl Busch will sweeten the Christmas season in Frankfurt with its Great Christmas Circus. From December 15 to January 07, the 5th anniversary of the popular Christmas Circus will be celebrated, which is one of the biggest events in the city's winter event calendar with around 30,000 visitors per year. Now director Manuel Wille and junior director Natascha Wille-Busch, together with some of the artists, have presented the new poster and the programme. And it really has it all.
For the small anniversary, some of the best artists in the world could be won. For example, the flying trapeze troupe Flying Zuniga from Brazil was awarded one of the coveted clowns at the legendary Monte Carlo Circus Festival. No wonder, when you see flyer Marlon Michael perform a triple somersault mortale high under the tent dome while blindfolded. The duo Vanegas was also honoured with a Silver Clown in Monte Carlo with their act on the Wheel of Death. With the audience in Frankfurt, the two Colombians are guaranteed to provide some adrenaline rushes.
Other highlights are the two snake women Alexandra and Kelly Saabel, the steampunk magician Jimmy Saylon, who will present absolutely amazing tricks together with five assistants, and the popular clown Jimmy Folco.
Wild animal performances have been omitted from this show. But the animal acts that will be on display promise to be a feast for the eyes as well. When Natascha Wille-Busch presents 18 horses simultaneously in the ring - six pitch-black Friesian stallions, six white Arabian stallions and six Falabella mini ponies - it's sure to be just as spectacular as the atmospheric number featuring some adorable huskies.
Manuel Wille, who will be running the show himself, is very proud of what has been put together this year. Especially with top acts, sometimes you have to wait a few years for them to become available and even then it's always a matter of negotiation whether you can hire them. But for the anniversary show, it actually worked out to sign the best of the best. So the audience can expect a completely new show with lots of surprises and very varied performances.
The presale has already started! It should be noted that this year for the first time there will be fixed seating.
