(ffm) With 48.5 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in Frankfurt in the last seven consecutive days, the city of Frankfurt is close to the 4th warning level of the prevention and escalation concept of the state of Hesse. City Councillor Stefan Majer says: "We fear that we will reach the escalation level red in the next few days in the infection incidence. After last week's focus on a localized outbreak of infection, this week it's becoming clear that two-thirds of the infections are now in everyday settings, and other measures are now needed."
The Administrative Staff, the city's crisis team, will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and decide on the possible actions planned and appropriate for the new escalation level by all staff areas.

"In addition to the local measures for Frankfurt, we will consistently implement the decisions from the video conference of the Chancellor with the heads of government of the federal states from last week," explained Councilman Stefan Majer, adding. "This includes, above all, restrictions regarding the number of participants in private celebrations. In Frankfurt, too, it must be expected that with a 7-day incidence of 50, a maximum of 25 participants will be permitted in public or rented rooms. For celebrations in private rooms, a maximum number of ten persons is likely to be strongly recommended."
