Das Kinofest 2024 - all films for 5 euros

On September 7 and 8, the big Kinofest 2024 will take place across Germany. The successful format, which attracted almost one million visitors to around 770 participating cinemas last year, is entering its third round. This year, numerous cinemas are once again taking part, saying: "All your favorite films for just 5 euros." No matter which movie, no matter where you want to sit! And there will also be some great offers on snacks
and drinks.

Cinema is for everyone and under the motto "Films for everyone. Cinema for everyone.", this year's Kinofest celebrates cinema as an experience that we share: Marveling together, feeling together, laughing together, discovering together or being creeped out together - the cinema is always an experience, simply because of the people around you.

As last year, numerous distributors, from small to large, are joining in and making films available for this weekend. Among them are Warner Bros, Sony Pictures Germany, Studiocanal, Constantin Film and The Walt Disney Company Germany as well as Pandora Film and Tobis. So there's plenty to celebrate again in numerous cinemas. With this in mind, viewers can expect an extensive program. This much can already be revealed: There will be captivating previews, such as "Treasure. Family is a Strange Land" with Lena Dunham and Stephen Fry, which opens on September 12 and premiered at the Berlinale 2024, or "The
Crow", in cinemas from September 12 and starring Bill Skarsgård. Other previews awaiting viewers include "Rosalie", "Ezra. Eine Familiengeschichte", "In Liebe, Eure Hilde", "Frisch", "Petra Kelly" and many more. Participants can also look forward to new releases such as "The Irony of Life", "Something in the Water", "Harold and the Magic Chalk", "Horizon", "Alien: Romulus" and "Just One More Time - It Ends With Us"; current highlights that have already been released, such as "Chantal in the Fairy Tale" and "The Magic Chalk".B. "Chantal in Fairyland", "Civil War", "Everything is Upside Down 2", "The Zone of Interest", "To the Moon" and true classics such as "Thelma & Louise" or "The 12 Jurors" and many more. It will be an exciting festival program with many exciting additional activities.

Claudia Roth, Minister of State for Culture and the Media of the Federal Republic of Germany, says about the Kinofest: "There are many, many important festivals in this country, but there is only one Kinofest. And I don't think anyone should miss this festival, because cinemas are the places where we can enjoy the movies. The places where we are touched, moved, stirred up."

In addition, numerous celebrities have also spoken out in favor of Kinofest and are promoting the event in public service announcements. These include, to name but a few, Hape Kerkeling, Anke Engelke, Max von der Groeben, Jürgen Vogel, Claudia Roth, Jella Haase, Jannik Schümann, Maria Furtwängler, Wim Wenders, Luise Befort, Aylin Tezel, Pasquale Aleardi, Tobias Krell, Peter Lohmeyer and Julius Weckauf.

This year, Kinofest 2024 is also presenting Kinomodus, a film contest to support young creators. Kinomodus is the result of a collaboration between Filmstarts & Moviepilot and is supported by Helge Mark. It's about celebrating the vertical movie and filming a video horizontally and uploading it to TikTok under #kinomodus. The theme of the cinema mode is "Feel Good" - Shoot a video about the good things in life! More information
