Direct bank ING commits to Frankfurt as a financial center

ING Germany will remain based in Frankfurt am Main and will move into its new headquarters not far from the European Central Bank. The bank has announced that it has signed a long-term lease agreement with the Hamburg-based B&L Group for a modern office building with 32,000 square meters of floor space.

By 2028, the direct bank's more than 3,000 employees will have ultra-modern workplaces that are particularly designed for collaboration and flexible use. The site is located slightly away from the traditional banking district, but in a prominent location on the banks of the Main. With 16 floors, the new building will not compete with the high-rise buildings of Commerzbank or Deutsche Bank, but it will feature contemporary and sustainable architecture.

ING Germany, a subsidiary of the Dutch ING Group, has been based in Frankfurt since 1965. With almost ten million customers, it has established itself as one of the leading financial service providers for private customers in the German market. The decision to build a new building underlines the bank's long-term commitment to Frankfurt as a financial center.
