Farewell to Eintracht: Sébastien Haller moves to West Ham United Football Club

Sébastien Haller will start scoring for English club West Ham United with immediate effect. The 25-year-old Frenchman, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Utrecht two years ago, is looking for a new challenge in the Premier League. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.

"Of course, the departure of a player of his calibre is a loss for us in sporting terms. But Sébastien has been open and fair with his ambitions at all times. And for us, of course, there are economic pain limits," said Eintracht sporting director Fredi Bobic. "We wish him all the best and thank Sébastien for his passionate commitment over the past two years for our Eintracht!"

The 1.90-meter Haller was on the ball for Eintracht in 77 competitive matches, scoring 33 goals (19 assists). The Frenchman celebrated his greatest success with the Adlerträgern in 2018 by winning the DFB-Pokal.

"I am very grateful to Eintracht Frankfurt for the past two years. I felt very comfortable in the city and especially enjoyed the home games in front of the great fans," Haller said on his farewell. "For me, it is now a matter of turning over a new leaf and continuing my development in the Premier League. Of course, I will continue to follow Eintracht as a fan and keep my fingers crossed."
