Felix Wiedwald completes Eintracht Frankfurt's goalkeeping team

Welcome back to the Main! After Nicolai Müller, Eintracht can welcome another returnee in Felix Wiedwald. The goalkeeper already played in Frankfurt from 2013 to 2015 and moves from the English second division club Leeds United back to Eintracht. Sporting director Bruno Hübner is pleased with Wiedwald's return to Eintracht: "Felix is a reliable goalkeeper and has matured in recent years. He is scheduled as a back-up for Frederik Rönnow and, together with him and Jan Zimmermann, will ensure that we have above-average quality and quantity at the goalkeeper position."

The 28-year-old has the experience of 70 Bundesliga and 47 Zweitliga games for Eintracht Frankfurt, Werder Bremen and MSV Duisburg. In the English Championship, he stood in 28 games for Leeds United between the posts last season and remained twelve times without conceding a goal. "I think that I have developed personally through the experience abroad," says Wiedwald. "Now it is first of all important for me to arrive in Frankfurt, to offer myself and ideally to play as much as possible."

Felix Wiedwald signed a three-year contract with the German Cup winners and will wear the number 29 jersey
