Final event in the Botanical Garden around the apple

(kus) The Germans' favourite fruit is the apple. In Frankfurt and the surrounding area, not only in solid form, but also in liquid form. A variety of very different local varieties - it is estimated that there are around 1000 in Germany alone - form a rich treasure, only a small part of which can be found in supermarkets today.

Family Rohrbach, owner of meadow orchards Maintal-Bischofsheim, explains interesting facts about apples and their cultivation. Manfred Wessel, the technical director of the Botanical Garden, introduces the closest relatives of apple and pear that grow in the Botanical Garden.
