The former Deutsche Bank site is still being vigorously deconstructed. Little by little, the old buildings will give way to a most spectacular high-rise ensemble - the FOUR Frankfurt. The four high-rises will house apartments, offices, retail, restaurants, a daycare center and two hotels. One of them will be the first Germany branch of boutique hotels Kimpton, for which a long-term lease has now been signed.
The subsidiary of the global hotel group IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has chosen the newly developing high-rise quarter in Frankfurt's city centre after intensive market research. The hotel will occupy the entire building block at Junghofstrasse 7-11 behind its listed façade. Plans call for 155 rooms of various categories spread over six floors in the 9,500 sqm area. The classic 1950s foyer on Junghofstrasse will serve as the main entrance to the future hotel.
Guests can look forward to a new, extraordinary hotel experience: Promising nothing less than "the ultimate boutique hotel experience" and "a different way to stay," Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, which already operates 66 boutique hotels in the U.S., the Caribbean and Europe. The luxury brand is known for its high design standards and emphasis on the individuality of each property.
Eating and drinking above the rooftops of Frankfurt
In addition to a special living experience for guests, however, enjoyment should not be neglected. Therefore, another focus of Kimpton is on the creation of a high-quality gastronomy offer. In addition to a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, a sky bar is also planned on the roof terrace in Junghofstraße. High above the city, guests can go out and celebrate here and enjoy the unique atmosphere in the middle of the skyline. After all, that's the obvious thing to do at this location. Kenneth Macpherson, CEO of IHG for Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA), welcomes the decision: "As one of Europe's largest financial centres, Frankfurt is a key destination for us and this lease is a milestone for Kimpton's expansion in Europe. We are proud to bring the brand to Germany together with Great & Partner. Guests at Kimpton Frankfurt can look forward to luxury in the familiar Kimpton design and first-class service with everything they need to feel at home."
That FOUR Frankfurt, of all places, is the spearhead of the Kimpton Group's market entry in Germany, makes Groß & Partners particularly happy. Nikolaus Bieber, Managing Director of Groß & Partner: "Frankfurt can look forward to a new, international hotel brand in a class of its own! With the Kimpton, the Quartier FOUR Frankfurt is gaining a further point of attraction that will enrich and enhance the city centre. Not only for hotel guests who can spend the night in the middle of the skyline, but also for restaurant and bar visitors, the Kimpton in Junghofstraße will be a special experience!"
The opening of the Frankfurt Kimpton Hotel is scheduled for 2023
