With big steps FOODTOPIA, the gastronomy and entertainment destination in the shopping center MyZeil, is approaching its final completion. After the successful opening on April 11, 2019, the grand summer opening now follows as an intermediate step before the grand opening in September. For four days, the expansion will be celebrated by the opening of the new restaurants ALEX, the Italian pizza manufactory Papa Napoli as well as sander Gourmet. Visitors can especially look forward to the fact that the opening of sander Gourmet means that the outdoor patio is now open as well.
sander Gourmet, FOODTOPIA's first newcomer, will present modern interpreted German cuisine not only in a sleek interior space, but also on the newly designed west patio. "The Sander vision of Democratic Food has now become a reality with this first location," enthuses Stefan Enkel, Division Manager of System Catering at the Sander Group in Wiebelsheim. "With sander, we want to offer a tasty, affordable experience with the highest standards, to which everyone is invited - whether colleagues, friends or family, meat lovers or vegetable fans. Every day, from morning to night." To this end, the sander in Frankfurt combines different gastronomic moments on around 800 square metres. In addition to a deli with shop and barista coffee bar, guests can expect a very special culinary experience in the restaurant area: the open kitchen is the heart of the concept and offers an unobstructed view of what is happening behind the scenes. The highlight, however, is of course the large rooftop terrace with the best skyline view, which invites you to enjoy above the rooftops of Frankfurt.
The SATURN has set up shop on the 4th floor of MyZeil. OG of the MyZeil somewhat reduced and has thus made room for the second FOODTOPIA new opening of this Summer Opening: the Pizza Manufacture Papa Napoli convinces with crispy thin dough, topped with high quality ingredients. Spicy, fresh and simply delicious are the pizzas that will be baked for you right next to the event stage in PAPA NAPOLI's large pizza oven. Here you will find classics with ham or salami as well as vegetarian pizzas on the menu of around 15 variations.
The third new opening brings the 42nd and third Frankfurt branch of the ALEX gastro concept to MyZeil. The light-flooded restaurant awaits its guests as a communicative-culinary feel-good place with a winter garden on the glass façade of the shopping center - a fantastic view of the Zeil and the skyline included. And the best thing is: when the weather is nice, there is a terrace feeling here thanks to open sliding glass elements. ALEX offers a successful combination of regional and crossover cuisine, from the sensational breakfast buffet to burgers, steaks, salads and late-night cocktails. The Sunday ALEX brunch buffets are also guaranteed to be particularly popular in this branch. These are now also available at FOODTOPIA, because from 21 July the gastronomy & lifestyle floor of MyZeil will also be open on Sundays. Then there will not only be lots of delicious food here, but also great events, such as watching TATORT together at the event stage in the evening.
With this, FOODTOPIA is solid, but just not quite complete: with the Astor Film Lounge, which comprises five cinema halls with over 400 seats, FOODTOPIA will be supplemented by a fascinating entertainment highlight until the Grand Opening in late summer. Other attractive gastronomy concepts will also be added: the French-inspired patisserie-brasserie concept "La Maison du Pain", the Mediterranean restaurant "Big Chefs" with its first location in Western Europe, and the all-day bar "Enoteca Vespaiolo" from the creators of "VaiVai".
