As we told you before, <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc fussball-em-2024-frankfurt-is-vom-dfb-as-austragungsortort-ausgewaehlt-worden.html _blank>Furt will be one of the venues for the 2024 European Football Championship should Germany win the bid to host the event. The decision will not be made until September, when UEFA will announce whether the ball will be rolling in Turkey or Germany in 2024. However, preparations in the "candidate cities" are already in full swing. And so the city of Frankfurt am Main now also has its official logo as a "Candidate City". It features the motif of the DFB application campaign and Frankfurt's city coat of arms.
Sports Director Markus Frank said at the presentation of the logo that he hoped that with the new visible appearance as a Candidate City, enthusiasm for the 2024 European Football Championship would continue to grow. "This sporting event will strengthen the identification of Frankfurt as a sports city," Frank added. "The current bidding phase is important to bring the 2024 European Championship within reach."
The sense of togetherness, the united act is the credo of the German bid. To underline this, the city is calling for lively use of the DFB portal <link https: united-by-football.de _blank>
and the participatory activities there. Interesting articles and news about the bid can be accessed on the website. In addition, fans can upload their photos and share them on social media to show their support for the German EURO bid.The deadline for the German Football Association's (DFB) bid dossier is approaching. By 27 April 2018 at the latest, the complete application documents will be submitted to UEFA in the so-called "BidBook". As one of ten possible venues within Germany, Frankfurt am Main is part of this BidBook, for which the city is committed to working with the DFB.
If Germany is chosen - which we all hope, of course - Frankfurt should be able to call itself "Host City". City councillor Markus Frank is looking forward to seeing the title "Candidate City" replaced by "Host City" once UEFA has made its decision. We hope for that, too, of course, and are already allowing ourselves a little bit of anticipation for when our beautiful city is once again allowed to present itself as the perfect football host in 2024!
