Frauen-Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt aim to continue their winning streak against Bremen

After the impressive 6:0 win against SC Freiburg on Monday evening, which saw Eintracht Frankfurt take the lead in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga table, they face SV Werder Bremen at home on Saturday, October 19, at 12 noon. The Eagles will be looking to capitalize on their strong form and pick up another win ahead of the upcoming international break. The match will be played at the Stadion am Brentanobad and broadcast live on Magenta Sport and DAZN. Tickets are already on sale.

With 16 points from six games, Niko Arnautis' team have made their best start to a season in 13 years. Particularly impressive: Laura Freigang, who scored her 100th and 101st goals for Eintracht with her brace in the last game, has been directly involved in eight goals in the last four games. Remina Chiba also made headlines with her quick hat-trick in stoppage time against Freiburg - the first of her career and possibly the quickest in Bundesliga history.

However, the task against Bremen will not be easy. The northern Germans have already impressed against top teams this season, including a 3-3 draw against VfL Wolfsburg on the first matchday and a 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend, when they played in front of over 22,000 spectators at the Weserstadion. Bremen are currently in ninth place with five points, but have shown that they can also hold their own against strong opponents.

Head coach Niko Arnautis is expecting a tough challenge: "Bremen are traditionally a team that defend very compactly and play robustly. They look for their chances through transitional moments and set-pieces. We have to play with high intensity for 90 minutes to find solutions against their bulwark." Nevertheless, Eintracht go into the match with a lot of confidence, having won the last five Bundesliga matches against Bremen in a row.

With the best offense in the league (22 goals) and the most stable defense (three goals conceded), Frankfurt is currently showing soccer that is a joy for both the fans and the team. Another win would not only consolidate their position in the table, but also send a strong signal to the competition.
