Going to the movies again? Drive-in Gravenbruch may open

When smaller businesses in Hesse are allowed to reopen on Monday, April 20, at least a touch of normality will return to our everyday lives. Gastronomy, but also cultural institutions such as theaters and cinemas, however, must remain closed. For cinema fans, however, there is at least one very nice exception: The drive-in cinema Gravenbruch, Europe's oldest drive-in, is allowed to reopen. However, under strict conditions, which you should definitely observe, so that the drive-in cinema may remain open in the long term. Then nothing will stand in the way of a very special cinema experience, even though there will of course have to be noticeable restrictions. What makes the drive-in so special, we have already described in our leisure tips HERE. And even if it's not possible to enjoy all of the drive-in's perks anytime soon, a visit is a truly worthwhile way to escape the Corona daily grind for a few moments.

Follow these tips to keep in mind before and during your visit:

Tickets can only be purchased online. There is no box office! Tickets will be scanned with the window closed. Please come to the drive-in only with purchased ticket!

Ten-ticket or free tickets cannot be redeemed at this time.

A maximum of 2 people are allowed in each car. Excluded are own children (up to 14 years). However, the FSK rating of the respective films must be observed - otherwise you will be sent home again!

The snack bar remains closed until further notice. The toilets are open, but never more than 2 people are allowed in the toilets at the same time.

Films will be shown daily starting Monday. The program is constantly being expanded. There are no new releases at the moment, but there will be recent movies like the comedy NIGHTLIFE, the action cracker BAD BOYS FOR LIFE, the blockbuster JOKER or the comedy THE CHENGURU CHRONICS shown in the first week.

So, pack your chips, chocolate or sandwiches and drinks and make yourself comfortable in the car. And when it gets dark, you can finally enjoy movies on the big screen!
