Motivational coach and DFB special trainer Kelechi Onyele has created something very special: a welcome formula especially for Frankfurt. What is that supposed to be, you ask? A signature move is a specific movement that, because of its uniqueness, is a typical trademark of a person or a group, such as Michael Jackson's "moonwalk". It is also a way of becoming more aware of a partner through a short sequence of special movements. In doing so, Onyele has chosen movements that are each associated with a special value: "meeting with more heart" (joining hands), "noticing each other" (while hands are joined, pointing two fingers to your own eyes, then to the other person's eyes), "moving more with each other" (releasing hands in sync), "engaging" (stacking all four hands), "respect" (lowering head), and "standing together" (standing arm in arm next to each other).
Kelechi also sees his work as an ambassador for movement and encounter. And as such, he wants to teach the "Frankfurt Move" to all guests at the Altstadtfest on the weekend of September 28 to 30. An ambitious plan, behind which lies the idea and the hope that the Move will become more and more widespread. That this could work - there is little doubt about that: The native of Sachsenhausen has already been on the road with his creation in the city on a trial basis. And on September 30, you can all learn the "Frankfurt Move" together with Kelechi Onyele on the big stage on the Römerberg at 6 pm.
