Just under two weeks before the start of the<link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de veranstaltungen s event iaa-67-internationale-automobil-ausstellung.html _blank> 67th International Motor Show IAA, Matthias Wissmann, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry, has spoken at an advance press conference about the IAA's new direction. This year, the digital development of the car of the future will be much more clearly in focus than in recent years. The classic motor show and the digital worlds are growing ever closer together to form a common object of the future, which will be brought to life at the 67th IAA. According to Wissmann, it will be an IAA like none before. The trade fair, he said, is a consistent experiment, a well thought-out beta version - because this is the only way the IAA can continue to claim the pioneering position that distinguishes it worldwide.
Of course, there will be the presentation of new car models again this year. After all, more than 50 passenger car brands from all over the world will be there to present their new products. But, Wissmann added, there is no other motor show that focuses on digitalization as strongly as the IAA. No wonder, then, that the biggest IT and tech companies will be prominently represented in Frankfurt:
Facebook is a partner of New Mobility World - COO Sheryl Sandberg will speak at the IAA opening ceremony.
Google is a Platinum Partner of Media Night, which takes place on the evening of
1st Press Day.
Carlo D'Asaro Biondo, President of Southern & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations, Google Inc, will speak as keynote speaker at Media-Night.
SAP and Google are prominently featured at New Mobility World.
Chip giant Qualcomm is also an exhibitor at IAA/New Mobility World, with CEO Steve Mollenkopf giving a keynote.
Other IT and tech companies at the IAA include BlaBlaCar, Harman, IBM, International Industries, Kaspersky, Merck, NXP, Siemens, Sony, TomTom, Telekom, Allianz or McKinsey, and of course Daimler subsidiaries Moovel, MyTaxi and Car2Go as well as VW subsidiary Moia.
Visitors can get an idea of what the digital future may look like in practice on a new open-air action course on the Agora. Here, automated and digitized driving programs will be presented live, which is guaranteed to be spectacular.
The IAA is designed to show the breadth of innovation in mobility and also to underline the important role of suppliers. We can look forward to a great and exciting IAA! The public days start on 16 September. <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de veranstaltungen s event iaa-67-internationale-automobil-ausstellung.html _blank>You can find all further info HERE in our event calendar
