"Love is our religion - Music is our language!"

18.08.2017 | 08:35 Clock | Citywhispers
'Love is our religion - Music is our language!'

. is the motto of the gathering, which will take place on 01 September 2017 in Frankfurt under the patronage of Mayor Peter Feldmann and is supported by artists, clubs, restaurateurs and well-known Frankfurt personalities. Cross-religious and regardless of origin and skin color, people should come together peacefully on 01.09. through the power of music, exchange ideas, become active together or simply enjoy the music and the contributions of the supporters together.

The 01 September is in Germany since the 60s the official anti-war & World Peace Day and the initiators of this action want to point out. Peace is no longer a matter of course. European and liberal values are under criticism and people are unfortunately moving away from humanity in many places in the world.

Exclusion, tolerance and free speech have unfortunately become central issues in this society in recent years. We are fortunate that our Basic Law allows us to freely hold such a gathering without censorship. The organizers are especially happy that Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann has taken over the official patronage of "Love is our religion - Music is our language!"! Setting an example with music and humanity, Frankfurt shows its colours and says "ja" to the colourful and tolerant society.

This gathering should give a positive answer to the political demos of fear, to the recent excesses of violence and hate. No nationality, no language and no religion should be excluded. That which many people in this country are made to fear for no reason is already a reality here in Frankfurt! And what is most important: a very successful reality! Because this is exactly what Frankfurt has been successfully living with its colourful society for decades. It should become clear that this world we live in here is not a world to be afraid of. The Frankfurt way is European, international, interfaith and tolerant. Let's send a signal that this way is the right way.

The organizers are counting on a peaceful and musical demo! Music has always played a very special role in Frankfurt for the city and the youth of the city, so music and the positive energy that comes from it is our form of communication. Because languages and religions are not important to us, we communicate through music, and here especially through the music that has united our generation over the last 30 years. "Love is our religion - Music is our language" but it is also a call to consciously join in and be part of it, "no matter where you come from or what language you speak".

The idea creators Sia Sanei and Christian Rindermann, together with their organizational partners Alex Azary and Mengi Zeleke, want to show that Frankfurt stands for cosmopolitanism and tolerance. Especially for Sanei, who came to Germany as an Iranian refugee, the rally is a matter of the heart: "It is a public commitment to the values and people in this country. We want to show that a peaceful life together, regardless of origin or religion, is possible."

The approval of the Frankfurt scene is huge. Besides artists like Ata Macias, Markus Nikolai or Moses Pelham and Chima, so far the representatives of IG Gastro, the Badias-Schirn-Café and other restaurateurs like Sam Kamran, Taff & Mengi Zeleke or even the Ardinast brothers have pledged their support. The city's clubs such as Silbergold, Tanzhaus West, all members of "Clubs am Main" and the Gibson are also supporting the campaign. Hans Romanov and the Yachtklub, Envy and the Atelierfrankfurt are also participating. More activists and artists are requested and more are joining every day.

The rally will start on September 1 from 16:00 between Goetheplatz and Rathenauplatz and is scheduled to go until 22:00. Currently, plans are underway with the surrounding restaurateurs to offer various music events following the rally. The organizers wish many colorful participants in colorful clothing, banners, flags, banners - everything is allowed, against exclusion and against hate - because love is our religion and music is our language!
