Mainzer Landstraße closures

18.09.2016 | 20:52 Clock | Citywhispers
Mainzer Landstraße closures

(pia) Due to track construction and switch work by VGF, there will be closures in three sections on Mainzer Landstraße between Griesheim and Galluswarte from Monday, September 19, to Tuesday, October 4. There will be significant obstructions and road users are asked to avoid the area as far as possible.

The following sections will be affected by the construction:

Mainzer Landstraße Höhe Waldschulstraße:
In the northern Waldschulstraße coming from Oeserstraße the left turn towards the city center is closed. From the southern Waldschulstraße and from Mainzer Landstraße towards the city centre, the U-turn cannot be used. Turning in the direction of Höchst is not possible. In addition, it is not possible to turn left from Mainzer Landstraße into southern Waldschulstraße. Detours are signposted. For pedestrians, there is always a crossing option available in the area.

Mainzer Landstraße Höhe Rebstöcker Straße:
From Monday, September 19, to Tuesday, September 27, Mainzer Landstraße will be fully closed from the height of Rebstöcker Straße in the direction of the city. The detour will be via Sondershausenstraße and Kleyerstraße. Afterwards, Rebstöcker Straße will remain fully closed to traffic until Tuesday, October 4.

Mainzer Landstraße Höhe Galluswarte:
At Galluswarte out of town, the U-turn in the direction of Weilburger Straße and Camberger Brücke will remain fully closed. In addition, only one lane is available in the direction of the city.

. What is the best individual connection around the construction site, knows the timetable information, in which the changed timetables are considered. The RMV service telephone number 069/24248024, which is available around the clock, also provides information about the best travel option. In any case, traffiQ and VGF recommend that passengers find out about their travel options well in advance, as the replacement buses, some of which are being used, will be on the road longer than people are used to on the tram.
