Metropolis included in the circle of wine majesties

Last week, the first Frankfurt Wine Queen was crowned. Student Marilen Maul takes on the new office and was crowned by Rheingau Wine Queen Stephanie Kopietz at Frankfurt's Römer.

"We are delighted to welcome Marilen to the circle of local wine majesties, congratulates Stephanie Kopietz. "It's a great opportunity to bring the excellent Rheingau wines closer to the people of Frankfurt," the Rheingau Wine Queen continues.

In Frankfurt, 1.3 hectares of vines are cultivated, which belong to the Rheingau growing region. They grow on the Lohrberg slope, which offers a beautiful view of the metropolis.

"We are happy that the city of Frankfurt feels close to the Rheingau and we were happy to support the wish for an own wine majesty, says Peter Seyffardt president of the Rheingau winegrowers' association.
