(kus) Since spring 2014, the City of Frankfurt has been offering more transparency and participation opportunities with its citizen participation portal "Frankfurt asks me" at <link http: www.ffm.de _blank>
. On Tuesday, December 20, the platform will now go online with a new design and improved functions. On the portal, citizens can participate as before in various municipal participation procedures and the online citizen consultation hours of the magistrate, as well as report infrastructural deficiencies to the city administration.Through optimized navigation and faster access to the participation content, the portal is now even more user-friendly. Search and filter functions have also been improved. In addition, the user can mark selected defects in the defect reporter with the help of bookmarks in the future and thus effortlessly keep up to date on the status of the reports. The improved "Responsive Design" ensures that the website automatically adapts to the device being used, making it even easier for users to access the content on the move. In addition, they can now also automatically retrieve their location when reporting a defect.
IT department head Jan Schneider explains: "The use of the defect reporter is already making a decisive contribution to the optimisation of inter-agency processes and thus to faster defect rectification. With the new design, it is now even easier for citizens to contribute their expertise and wishes to the decision-making processes of the administration."
During the installation of the new design on 20 December, ffm.de cannot be accessed. As of Wednesday, December 21, the participation platform of the City of Frankfurt will be available again as usual at <link http: www.ffm.de _blank>
