The collection dates for the 14th PfennigBazar continue. Next time, the busy volunteers will be on hand on Tuesday, May 16, to accept in-kind donations that can be resold for a good cause. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., donors can drop off clothing, household goods, art or toys that are in good condition and clean. After all, the condition of the donations is crucial to their resale value. The collection point is at the Frankfurt forwarding agency Fermont. Collections will take place every 14 days. The last collection date is before the summer holidays on 27 June. The proceeds from the PfennigBazar on September 5 and 6 will go in large part to the DMSG Hessen to finance counseling and therapy services. In addition, new helpers are sought for the collection dates and the sale
Whoever comes across well-preserved clothing, accessories, art, household goods and toys at home when cleaning out cupboards, chests or in the cellar and no longer needs them, can donate the things to the PfennigBazar. Helpers will next be on hand to accept donations on Tuesday, May 16. The condition of the donations is especially important: Above all, the clothing must be clean, washed and in good condition. Because only in this way can the blouses, trousers, shirts, jackets, skirts, dresses or coats be resold at the "14th PfennigBazar", emphasises the organisation team of the charity bazaar. On Tuesday, September 5, and Wednesday, September 6, the motto will once again be "Shop for small money, help in a big way".
Until the end of June, the volunteers will be ready every 14 days, always on Tuesdays, to accept donations in kind, sort them and store them in boxes until the PfennigBazar days. Donors can drop off clean, washed and resalable women's, men's and children's clothing, shoes, belts, hats, bags, knick-knacks, art, housewares and children's toys at the collection dates. Not accepted are electrical items, books, suitcases and CDs/records.
The other collection dates are - on Tuesdays - as follows:
30. May, 13, and for the last time on June 27
from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
Drop-off point is the premises of Spedition Fermont (Frankfurt-Bockenheim, Rödelheimer Landstraße 11).
Those who cannot attend the collection dates in Frankfurt can also hand in their donations directly to helpers externally: Michael Geiger (Eschborn), tel. 06196/940054, Hofgut Mathes (Eschborn-Niederhöchstadt), tel. 06173/63 30 5, Taunus Textilpflege (Kronberg), tel. 06173/79614, or Ulla Minners (Kronberg), tel. 06173/805191.
New helpers welcome
The organisation of the collection dates and the PfennigBazar is a challenge for which every lending hand can be used. New helpers are therefore very welcome. The volunteers receive the donations, sort and pack them into boxes. On the bazaar days, the helpers are the good spirits, fill up the clothes racks and shelves, and give friendly and competent advice to the customers in the "PfennigBazar" department store. Whoever is interested in helping voluntarily at the collection dates and at the PfennigBazar, please contact Karin Herring of the DMSG Hessen, Tel. 069/405898 - 21, Email: <link>herring@dmsg-hessen.de
