Now it is finally decided: the nine-euro ticket is coming. This may well save a lot of money, but the inexpensive monthly ticket will certainly also exacerbate some already existing problems such as overcrowded trains at rush hour. Just in the summer months, in which on some distances also still building work is accomplished, one should adjust oneself now already to much strained patience and nerves.
The nine euro ticket gives it in the summer months June, July and August. It enables the users country widely journeys in the local and regional traffic for the small price. The low-priced monthly ticket goes on sale as early as May 21. It will then be available wherever tickets are available: at all VGF ticket vending machines, in the RMV app, in the VGF TicketShops, and at the VGF TicketCenters at Konstablerwache and Hauptwache. The ticket is also sold in Frankfurt buses and in the traffiQ traffic island at Hauptwache.
The ticket costs nine euros per month and is valid for one calendar month in each case - so always on the 1st of a month, a new ticket must be purchased if required. It is issued as a paper ticket, is personal, cannot be returned and is required from the age of six.
All VGF customers who already have a VGF subscription, a job, company, state or semester ticket do not have to do anything. They can all use local and regional transport throughout Germany with their existing ticket and receive an automatic refund so they can also travel for nine euros a month. Of course, this only applies as long as the existing season ticket is valid.
VGF customers who have purchased an annual ticket from VGF ticket vending machines, the VGF TicketCenter or the VGF TicketShop must register online for a refund of the difference.
