From July 21 to 23, 2023, the OPEN DOORS Festival in Neu-Isenburg will celebrate its 31st edition and once again transform the city into Hesse's music capital. This year's program promises even more variety, colorfulness and culture. Numerous innovations make the festival particularly attractive, including the selfie wall challenge, the talent competition "the mega talent" and the newcomer contest.
The first innovation is a free bus shuttle for all visitors, which takes them to the 16 stages in the city area and even to the Kempinski Hotel. So no one can miss a show and the party motto "Don't miss a show!" becomes the credo of some fans.
For the first time, the OPEN DOORS Festival will also be streamed live on the Internet. Through the Digital Charity donation platform of the Lions Club, a live broadcast of the festival with sound and images is made possible. Below the livestream is a donation button to support the music school in Neu-Isenburg e.V. and promote talented young musical artists in the "Town of a Thousand Singers".
Visitors will also have the chance to take part in the free "Selfie-Wall-Challenge" sweepstakes and win prizes worth a total of more than 10,000 euros. Simply find one of six selfie walls in the festival and Isenburg Center area, take a selfie and post it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #opendoorsfestival to automatically enter the draw.
In the talent competition "das Megatalent" not only musical talent is in demand, but also acrobatics, dance, juggling, magic, comedy and more. The jury, including Mayor Dirk Gene Hagelstein, the "Das Supertalent" winner of 2010 Freddy Sahin-Scholl and four-time breakdance world champion Muharem Demiri, awards highly attractive prizes such as 1,000 euros.
To kick off the festival will be held on 21. July from 17:00 clock the "Schools Out"-Newcomer-Contest takes place, in which seven young bands compete on the big stage in front of the audience and can win the premium band equipment.
