On Tuesday, October 3, the Open Mosque Day will take place for the 28th time. Over 1000 mosque communities throughout Germany will be inviting people to guided tours, lectures, exhibitions and personal encounters. Mosque communities in Frankfurt are also taking part in this day of action, which is organized by the Coordinating Council of Muslims in Germany (KRM).
The Open Mosque Day, which takes place annually on German Unity Day, is held under the motto "Every life counts!"and aims to highlight the naturalness of Muslim life as part of German society.
Visitors can look forward to guided tours of the mosque, talks and personal discussions on religious, social and cultural topics. There is also often a supporting program with culinary offerings.
