A visit to the Palmengarten will soon be even more rewarding than in previous weeks. That's because starting Thursday, October 1, the Palm House will finally reopen to visitors after many months. It had been closed since March, in the early days to protect it from Corona, then later for preparations for the 150th anniversary of the Palmengarten in 2021.
Now visitors will once again be able to stroll through the venerable building between 12 noon and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. To comply with the distance rules currently in force, they will move through the Palm House using a one-way system.
In addition to the Palm House, the Tropicarium and the Subantarctic House will also be open. As with all enclosed areas, to protect yourself from Corona, wear mouth-to-nose protection and keep a minimum distance of 1.5 metres. Of course, masks are not compulsory on the extensive outdoor grounds of the Palmengarten. However, attention should be paid to distances here as well. Then nothing stands in the way of a relaxed and relaxing trip to Frankfurt's green living room.
