PRET A DINER 2017: the Dining Experience moves on

"PRET A DINER 2017 is our most successful pop-up dining experience to date. In six weeks we hosted around 10,000 guests, more than 20 DJs, singer-songwriters and other artists were part of our journey. Our food concept, the interior design, the location was particularly daring this year - but it was worth it, the people of Frankfurt rewarded us for our courage with outstanding feedback," KP Kofler, visionary & founder of PRET A DINER and CEO of the international premium catering company Kofler & Kompanie, draws a final conclusion on the occasion of the closing of the current pop-up event.

35 days PRET A DINER had made a stop in a former bank building at Junghofstraße 11 in Frankfurt am Main. Around 7,000 dinner guests and a further 3,000 party guests had accepted the invitation of premium caterer Kofler & Kompanie in the period between 8 September and 14 October. Nearly 30,000 meals were served, more than 920 bottles of champagne were popped, 85 staff members ensured that everything ran smoothly, and more than 1,000 plants decorated the location.

For the first time, the Pop-Up Dining Experience had taken place with the support of main sponsor ASTON MARTIN.

For the food concept, Kofler relied on the support of four up-and-coming gastro start-ups from London: Kricket with modern interpreted Indian cuisine, A.Mano exuded Italian flair, Kym's indulged with innovative Chinese dishes and Island Poké brought the Hawaiian form of sushi, Poké Bowl Food, to Frankfurt.

The start-ups are all part of White Rabbit Fund, a development fund in the UK under which Kofler & Company supports promising young restaurateurs and helps them expand.

"Never before has the food offering for our guests been as extensive, international and innovative as this year. For the first time, our guests were able to order á la Carte, which was also a premiere for us and was handled outstandingly by our kitchen team," said KP Kofler.

Book the Concept

PRET A DINER brought new life to a location this year that had not been used for over twenty years. Exclusively for PRET A DINER, the hall of the former bank building was renovated and opportunities were created to present light performances and video art. Conventional lights were replaced with LED lights to ensure perfect illumination of the location.

The venue is still available to book for exclusive events until early 2018. From conferences and trade fairs to Christmas & New Year celebrations - until the venue is demolished, there is no limit to the creativity you can use to create events.

"In conclusion, all that remains for me to say is that this year we have once again experienced unique encounters, met inspiring people and created a place that makes special moments possible. PRET A DINER is more than a restaurant, it is an experience that is unique every time thanks to our wonderful guests," said Kofler.

PRET A DINER

From internal showcase to pop-up phenomenon, Kofler & Company first presented the PRET A DINER collection in 2004, bringing lifestyle to the catering business. Alongside food trends, table culture, art and ambience were presented in the spirit of the times. Each collection was created in close collaboration with talented, creative and highly decorated chefs from around the world.

In February 2011, KP Kofler further developed the concept into a pop-up restaurant, which has since made several annual guest appearances in various European cities. Since 2011, for example, the dining concept has popped up in Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Zurich and Basel
