30 years ago, Eintracht Frankfurt was last allowed to play in the Supercup match. On that occasion, the DFB Cup winners were defeated by reigning German champions Werder Bremen 0:2 at the Waldstadion. On Sunday, 12 August, the Eagle Bearers already have the opportunity to claim the first title of the season. Their opponents in the Commerzbank Arena will be FC Bayern Munich. This will be a rematch of the DFB Cup final from 19 May, when Eintracht won 3:1 in Berlin. The match is being organised by the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga and kicks off at 8.30pm. According to the schedule, Eintracht Frankfurt enjoys the home right.
Tickets for the match are available in three sales phases. In each case at 10 o'clock the starting signal takes place. From July 12 to 15, all season ticket holders may book their pre-reserved seats according to the number of season tickets. From July 17 to 20, it will be the turn of members, who will be allowed to buy a maximum of four tickets. If tickets are still available after that, free sales will begin on July 21.
