#SupportYourLocal - Winzer im Rheingau

Whether cultural business, retail or gastronomy - everyone is suffering from the Corona crisis. Even regional agriculture is already feeling the effects, the full extent of which is not yet even foreseeable. This also includes the vintners, who were looking forward to the opening of street pubs and the holding of various wine festivals soon. But instead, important distribution channels are breaking away and urgently needed seasonal workers are not allowed to enter. Moreover, big events and company events, where wine from Germany is gladly served, are cancelled for a longer period of time.

Vintners can also be helped in this difficult time - best by selling their wines. Therefore, we present you some wineries - mainly from the near Rheingau region - which supply you with noble drops even in times of crisis. Of course we will expand this list regularly:

Winery Peter Flick - The family winery in Hochheim am Main is already successfully managed in the fifth generation. The wines have been awarded several times, which you can judge at home. Orders can be placed in the online shop at: https://www.vinothek-flick.de/

Weingut Im Weinegg - At the winery, once a cathedral presence farm and later home to notable estates such as Aschrott and Künstler, Fabian Schmidt has been crafting his wines since 2009. The terroir-based wines of special quality can either be purchased Wed/Fri/Sat and Sun on site at the winery recommended by the Gault & Millau Weinguide 2020 or ordered from the webshop. https://www.weingut-weinegg.de/

Weingut Künstler - The winery in Hochheim am Main offers top wines from the great sites of the Rheingau. The wines can also be purchased in the online shop. From 24 bottles or 250 euro value of goods, the delivery is free of charge. https://shop.weingut-kuenstler.de/alle-produkte.html

Weingut Josef Schönleber - For decades, value has been placed here on cultivated Riesling wines that combine fruit and elegance. The Riesling assortment is complemented by wines from the grape varieties Blauer Spätburgunder, Dakapo (new red wine variety, classified since 2000) and Gelber Orleans (historical grape variety, planted in 2015). Wine packages will gladly be sent to you. More info is available at www.weingut-schoenleber.de

The Winery Rollanderhof usually stands with its wine stall at various weekly markets in Frankfurt. Due to the Corona crisis, this is no longer possible. Also in the wine shop in the Kleinmarkthalle, only bottles are allowed to be sold, but the wine is no longer allowed to be served. So that customers can still enjoy the wine, a "drink at home" delivery service has been started. From 15€ order value for 2,50€ and from 40€ order value free delivery on the same day and if desired also cooled (in FFM city area). Order Mon-Fri until 18.00 / Sat until 16.00 on 0157 34441970 (also WhatsApp) or drinkathome@rollanderhof.de

Winery Georg Breuer - Vintner Theresa Breuer has received the top rating of the Gault&Millau wine guide for her Riesling. The vinotheque in Rüdesheim am Rhein is still open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
