(kus) With a public bicycle excursion, the Environment Department will introduce wild corners and insights on Sunday, May 7,. The motto of the approximately three-hour tour: Cycling through wild Frankfurt! The ride starts at 3 p.m. at Dornbusch and leads via Eschersheim and the Frankfurter Berg to the Nordpark Bonames. Here is an area of the project "Cities dare Wilderness", where natural development can be experienced in the future. The destination of the approximately ten-kilometer tour is the Old Airfield Bonames/Kalbach.
On the route through the city and on the GrünGürtel cycle circuit, sites of randomly created and planned wilderness will be visited. These areas are often places of recreation for people and nature in a densely built environment of stone and concrete. In orchards, small woods, or at the edge of flower meadows, the value of wild spaces is experienced together.
The tour takes place as part of the exhibition "Vision and Commitment. Frankfurts GrünGürtel", on view at the Institute for Urban History until August 27.
The event is free of charge, registration is not necessary. Please bring bike, food, rain or sun protection!
Directions: U1, U2, U3 or U8 to station "Fritz-Tarnow-Straße".
The meeting point: Sinai-Park/Dornbusch, access path from Walter-Leiske-Straße between house numbers 30 and 36.
