The extent to which the works of Vincent van Gogh continue to fascinate people today was most recently demonstrated in Frankfurt by the exhibition MAKING VAN GOGH at the Städel Museum, which attracted more than half a million visitors to the museum on the banks of the River Main from October 2019 to spring 2020. Now the artist is back in the Main metropolis - but in a completely different way than he has been experienced so far. Van Gogh Alive is a multi-sensory art and entertainment experience that is fun for the whole family! With already more than 50 million visitors in 70 cities around the world, Van Gogh Alive has also thrilled audiences in Frankfurt.
Since the opening, the weekends have been regularly sold out and therefore the organizer has decided to stay in the beautiful Main metropolis for another month. Until June 5, you can now still experience this special multimedia exhibition. In the former Heddernehim factory hall, which was lavishly restored into a modern event hall in 2019, this digital art experience developed by Grande Experiences can unfold perfectly. There are no original paintings on display, but projections that can be seen on the floor and walls and that are constantly changing. In this way, a total of more than 3000 images can be seen, but they are not presented statically. Thus, the water surface on a picture seems to move and the landscape on another work really comes to life.
In addition, there are still installations such as the Sunflower Room or a life-size representation of van Gogh's bedroom. A visit to VAN GOGH ALIVE is definitely one thing: a very special experience - whether you visit alone or with your family, with your school class or as a company outing.
