Warning strike: subways and trams will be at a standstill in Frankfurt on Friday

S-Bahns and bus lines will be running!

The way to work, school or shopping could again become a test of patience on Friday. That's because warning strikes on public transport have been announced again for April 13. And that means that subways and trams will be at a standstill all day. At least: buses and suburban trains are supposed to run as scheduled.

Despite this, experience has shown that strikes on the subway, the backbone of the city's public transportation network, hit many passengers particularly hard. But since suburban trains, regional trains and bus lines run according to schedule, they can certainly help as an alternative in many cases in Frankfurt's densely knit local transport network.

The municipal public transport company traffiQ and the VGF recommend their passengers to get the latest information as soon as possible before starting their journey. You can get it via the radio stations, on the RMV service phone at 069/24248024, which is available around the clock, on the Internet at <link http: www.rmv-frankfurt.de _blank>

and on social media.

In the Internet timetable information, traffiQ will soon hide the underground and tram connections for Friday, so that only the means of transport that are actually running are displayed.

Since the union only discloses its strike strategy to a limited extent, this information is subject to change at short notice. traffiQ and VGF will provide regular and up-to-date information on the strike situation on the Internet, on social media channels and with notices, especially to radio stations.

These lines are expected to operate despite the public service warning strike: all S-Bahn lines S1 - S9, all regional trains, almost all bus lines, including the rail replacement service Offenbach Stadtgrenze - Oberrad - Südbahnhof/Bruchstraße. Bus line 103 from Offenbach to Bornheim is not expected to run.
