WORLD CLUB DOME celebrates successful comeback

A very big party weekend has come to a successful end. More than 180,000 fans of electronic music came to Frankfurt from over 70 countries to celebrate together the return of the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME. Although, as the Hessenschau reported, there were longer waiting times at the start due to technical problems at the entrance, the atmosphere on the grounds of the Deutsche Bank Park and the adjacent Stadionbad was hardly affected by this. From the very beginning, there was cheerful and exuberant celebration here - just as there was last in 2019.

The "biggest club in the world" marked an extremely successful start to the 2022 open air season. The "Las Vegas Edition" of the festival transformed the entire stadium complex into a huge Vegas-style entertainment palace. Sports fields became helipads where DJ superstars like Steve Aoki, Robin Schulz and Timmy Trumpet were flown in, followed by a "Walk of Fame" where they immortalized themselves amidst the cheering masses on their likenesses of the countless DJ columns. Always accompanied by BigCityBeats CEO and WORLD CLUB DOME mastermind Bernd Breiter.

"As a little boy, I dreamed of making music together with an orchestra. And the little boy also had a dream of becoming an astronaut. When the boy grew up, he dreamed of becoming a chef. In the past three days, all this has come together and the little boy has now become a big boy. And he was able to realize his dream on these days with a lot of wonderful people. The metamorphosis of the two universal languages of music and cuisine is unifying and especially important in today's world. All this has formed this weekend to a complete work, as it has never existed in this form - from outer space to the deep sea. And that combined with many 10,000 beaming faces connected by the music," explains a highly emotional Bernd Breiter, CEO of BigCityBeats and creator of WORLD CLUB DOME.

The sold-out event began on Friday with a breathtaking opening ceremony, where ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer joined Bernd Breiter to present the world premiere of the "Space Table Symphony," performed live by award-winning star violinist David Garrett and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra. Astronaut Maurer, freshly returned to Earth from space, cooked at WORLD CLUB DOME at the end of the "Space Club Kitchen" together in a livestream with 12 million WorldChefs chefs, the Indonesian goulash Rendang, which was developed by none other than TV star chef Tim Mälzer for astronauts in space. It was the biggest "club music dinner event of mankind". Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike played the closing set of the first day afterwards and intoxicated the "crowd" with driving beats from pop to hardstyle.

Even though there were isolated short rain showers, the weather on the first day was much better than previously announced. And on day 2, the weather gods were especially kind to the numerous fans, who were able to enjoy a welcome cooling off in the pools of the stadium pool, especially during the sold-out pool sessions. It got really hot in front of the 25 different stages. No wonder, as the star line-up included over 200 world-famous headliners - from David Guetta to Robin Schulz to NERVO, from Deadmau5 to Sven Väth, from Steve Aoki to Loco Dice, from Angerfist to Infected Mushroom and many other "big names" from the spectrum of electronic music. Also numerous celebrities from Frankfurt and all over Germany like Alexander Mazza, Nova Meierhenrich, Jenny Elvers, Guilia Siegel, Manfred Kaltz, Eintracht Frankfurt president Peter Fischer, Dany Michalski, Mola Adebisi, Heiko Lochmann (He/Ro, Die Lochis) and many more.v.a. did not want to miss the return of the "biggest club in the world"

On Sunday, WORLD CLUB DOME offered its fans a packed and impressive final day. The outdoor mainstage presented a hip hop takeover with a fine selection of Germany's best hip hop acts like Sido, Kool Savas, Haftbefehl as well as Juju and let a cracking finish with Scooter follow. Cocoon with Sven Väth and Masquerade by Claptone were the farewell acts at the WCD Pool Sessions. The mega event ended with a monumental final show, where David Guetta gave the 60,000 visitors in the "biggest dance floor in the world" the show of their lives and made the fans of WORLD CLUB DOME hungry for the coming editions.

Happily, they won't have to wait long for the next event and can already look forward to the "Winter Edition" of BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME on December 16 and 17, 2022 in Düsseldorf. With the "Atlantis Edition", the return of the "biggest club in the world" to Frankfurt is also already fixed. This will take place from June 9 to 11, 2023.
