Since 1977, little Sioux, who can talk to animals, has also been a popular comic hero in Germany and, at the latest since the broadcast of the animated series on KIKA, no children's room can be imagined without him. The adventures, written by André Jobin (Job) and drawn by Claude de Ribaupierre (Derib), are not only popular as comics or TV series, but are also very successful in other media. In addition to a musical, books or puppet theater, a Yakari horse show by Wille Entertainment already made a guest appearance in the Rhine-Main area in 2018. The mixture of theater, artistry and breathtaking horse choreography had delighted audiences throughout Germany. After a long break, the horse show now comes back to Frankfurt!
After the roles of Yakari and his best friend Rainbow were originally embodied by the Wille children Alfons and Angel, the siblings Claudia Navratilova (Yakari) and Marco Navratil (Rainbow) now slip into the popular roles for the new production. The two come from a Czech family of artists and have known circus life since their earliest childhood. And you can see that in their more than confident performances. They are assisted by up to 18 horses, dogs and their trainers, as well as first-class artists. As a framework for their performances acts the first meeting between Yakari and the horse Little Thunder, who is freed by the Indian boy from a crevice, whereupon Yakari is rewarded by the Great Eagle with a feather.
The show offers its guests impressive group scenes with up to 18 horses, but also an interesting mix of horsemanship, acrobatics and performances by comedians. Thus, there is something to marvel at, to dream about, but also to laugh about in the largest Indian tent in the world, which can seat up to 800 Yakari fans.
The show, which was created in close consultation with the Yakari makers, lasts around two hours. The sets, the costumes and even Little Thunder had to be approved in order to transfer the world that children know from the animated series as authentically as possible into reality. The result convinces both Yakari fans, as well as all those who love artistry and horse shows.
Even the first performances in Frankfurt repeatedly caused storms of enthusiasm, especially among the children present. Until August 14, you can see for yourself. There is one performance daily, on Sundays even two. Tuesday and Wednesday are free! More info about the show, the times and the tickets can be found at: www.yakari-pferdeshow.de
