The garden of the Liebieghaus Skulpturensammlung is in itself a real gem in the city. To visit the museum garden with attached Café is always a pleasure. The noise of the big city stays behind the walls and the high-rise facade gives way to the sculptures and the historic villa. During these days, a visit to the garden and the museum is especially worthwhile, because like last year, the Liebieghaus Skulpturensammlung is once again inviting visitors to its Christmas magic in 2017. A small Christmas market has been set up in the garden. Surrounded by many lights, there are several small wooden stalls offering candles, wooden toys, honey, game specialities, cushions or illuminated stars. Culinary delights are also on offer, such as the delicious sweet and savoury waffles from Goose, the delicious soups from Tilly's Aunt or of course mulled wine and Crêpes.
Underpinned by Christmas music sounding discreetly from the loudspeakers, visitors can stroll in this wonderful ambience, eat and drink at one of the high tables or in the marquee, or watch the children ride the little carousel. Since with the Christmas market also a visit to the collection is possible, the whole thing costs 5 <x>ampersand</x>euro; admission. However, that is 5 €, which is really worth it, because the Christmas Magic is not only one of the most beautiful small Christmas markets in the city, but also offers just the opportunity to pay a visit to the fascinating collection of the Liebieghaus.
