(kus) Filmforum Höchst received the second prize of the Kinematheksverbund in the category "Cinema that connects" on Friday, October 27, in Berlin. The award went to the cinema for its 2016 annual program at a ceremony marking World Audiovisual Heritage Day. This is already the second honor this year. On October 13, the second prize of the Hessian Cinema Culture Award went to Höchst.
The jury recognized the special commitment to films from South America and Africa and praised the sophisticated programming. ".highly topical are the program references of Filmforum Höchst. The Kinopreis of the Kinematheksverbund is awarded in four categories and honors the work of some of the approximately 170 community cinemas and film cultural initiatives that stand for exceptional film programs.
