Schlosshotel Kronberg welcomes new head chef Gil Heinzelmann

A change in the culinary management of the Schlosshotel Kronberg: since the beginning of October, the renowned hotel in the Taunus region has had a new head chef in Gil Heinzelmann, who will take over responsibility for the entire gastronomic offering of the five-star hotel with immediate effect. The 40-year-old Heinzelmann, who has already worked as Executive Sous Chef at the Schlosshotel, brings with him extensive experience and a passion for fine dining.

His duties as the new head chef will not only include the à la carte business in the two hotel restaurants, but also the culinary design of private functions, seasonal events and the winter cottage, which welcomes guests with hearty fondues in a cozy atmosphere during the cold season.

Heinzelmann can look back on a varied career in gastronomy: after his apprenticeship, he worked at the Resort Sonnenalp in Ofterschwang and gained valuable experience at the Grandhotel Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt, which led him to the position of Junior Sous Chef. Further stations such as the Kempinski Falkenstein Grand in Königsstein expanded his skills before he moved to the Schlosshotel Kronberg in 2019, where he already worked as Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef. His professional expertise and talent for team leadership and training will stand him in good stead in his new position.

"Mr. Heinzelmann knows the processes in our kitchen like no other. He was our absolute dream solution for the position of head chef," says Dominik Ritz, General Manager of the Schlosshotel. "His expertise and commitment to the team are invaluable to our hotel."

The Schlosshotel Kronberg's gastronomy is characterized by versatility and exclusivity. In addition to the two elegant restaurants, the Schlossrestaurant Victoria and the Enrico d'Assia, the hotel hosts numerous seasonal events and private celebrations. From the popular kitchen party and the autumn game weekend to festive Christmas dinners and brunches, the hotel offers a rich repertoire of culinary experiences. A special highlight in winter is the cozy winter cottage, which is designed in a rustic alpine hut style and invites you to enjoy hearty fondue evenings from November.

With Gil Heinzelmann as the new head chef, the Schlosshotel Kronberg is relying on an experienced manager who will continue to enrich the gastronomic offer at the highest level.
