Frankfurt Gastro Trend Awards: The finalists have been announced

On Monday, 17 February 2020, the time has come: then the winners of the Gastro Trend Awards will be chosen at a festive gala dinner at the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten. The award of the Initiative Gastronomie Frankfurt e. V. in cooperation with the communication and event agency WAOH, the Genussakademie Frankfurt and supported by the economic department of the city of Frankfurt am Main will be awarded in four categories: the cooking talent of the year, the patisserie talent of the year, the newcomer gastro concept of the year and the bar talent of the year.

From all the participants* who qualified in a preliminary round, the jury has determined the candidates who will compete in the final for the Gastro Trend Awards on February 17. The chefs and Pâtissiers will have to prove themselves in a festive six-course meal in front of 250 guests; each of the finalists* will be responsible for one course.

The nominees for Beard Talent of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony on 17. February.

At the presentation of the awards cooking talent and patisserie talent, the audience is also in demand: In the menu, their vote has the same weight as that of the jury. This includes experts such as the well-known master patissier and chocolatier Daniel Rebert from Wissembourg. The winners will be honored by city councilor Markus Frank, among others.
