The sun is shining, spring is here! However, we will have to do without extended barbecues or picnics with friends, as well as regular visits to the ice cream cafeé of our confidence. After all, starting next Monday, ice cream parlors in Frankfurt may reopen to offer a delivery and pick-up service. The Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt Gravenbruch has come up with something particularly delicious: Ice cream homemade in the hotel's own patisserie, with flavors that change daily, sold in an ice cream drive-in!
"You can't have an early summer without ice cream," notes hotel director Karina Ansos. "We'll be offering both homemade dairy and fruit ice creams, such as raspberry, mango, fig and passion fruit, chocolate, peanut and boubon vanilla. My special tip: our asparagus ice cream. It comes with two different toppings."
A scoop costs EUR 1.50. The Kempinski ice cream drive-in is located in front of the hotel entrance and will be open daily from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m. starting Monday, April 20. In order to be able to maintain the required minimum distance, the staff will hand the ice cream to the customers via a long pole.
