From September 20 to October 3, 2024, the Kronberg Festival will take place under the motto "Passing on the Fire". Experience how world-famous musicians, young talents and ten extraordinary orchestras pass on the torch of music from generation to generation in 29 concerts. Let yourself be carried away by top-class performances in the Casals Forum, which offers ideal conditions for both chamber music and symphonic concerts.
The festival will open on September 20 with two concerts by the "Ensemble Resonanz", focusing on works by Mozart and Beethoven. Highlights of the other concerts include the Chamber Orchestra of Europe's Spark Flights on September 28 and 29 with music by Haydn, Beethoven, Bach and Mendelssohn. Master pianist Sir András Schiff and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe will provide musical highlights.
The festival will conclude on October 3 with the hr Symphony Orchestra, which will delight the audience with Smetana's "Moldau" and Tchaikovsky's "Rococo Variations".There will also be exciting recitals, including "Dvořák's Cello Concerto" on September 25.
