Today is the day: the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) is launching a new app for connection information, ticket purchasing and other traffic information: under the name "RMVgo", the application can now be found in the app stores. New features of this app include the first-ever advance sale of season tickets and an alert function for delays. In addition, users can now choose between a list view and a map view for the connection information and create their own favorites. A large map on the home screen provides a direct overview of the nearest stops. In the coming months, RMV plans to integrate further content and functions into the app, such as on-demand offers.
"Quickly finding the right connection, booking the ticket with just a few clicks to easily get going - that's what our passengers want from our app," says Prof. Knut Ringat, RMV managing director. "RMVgo delivers all that and more: it is the 'one app for everything', with which bus, train, car and bike sharing are already easily available today. The booking of on-demand shuttles and other functions will be added in the next development stages. This makes it "state of the art" and continues to write the RMV's digital success story. I would especially like to thank our project partners COBE, Hacon and Cubic and am pleased that we will continue to pull together in the upcoming further developments."
Available for iOS and Android
Users can download the new application starting today, Monday, 17. October, in the Apple Store for iOS and in the Google Play Store for Android download. The previous version will then no longer be available in the stores, but will continue to be supported.
