Congratulations! Frankfurt is richer by one star cuisine. We have Coskun Yurdakul to thank for this, the chef of the Tiger gourmet restaurant in the Tigerpalast Varieté Theater, who has now been awarded one star by the renowned Guide Michelin.
The reason for this appreciation can be found in Coskun Yurdakuls varied and creative style of cooking. He takes advantage of the region's diverse array of produce and complements it with Middle Eastern flavors. Yurdakul already completed his training under Viktor Stampfer at the Tigerpalast and then moved to Schlosshotel Lerbach to further hone his skills. After this time, the Tigerpalast was able to recruit him again as head chef for the Palastbar restaurant, where he worked with established star chefs such as Martin Göschel and Chris Rainer.
After two years as head chef at the Palastbar restaurant, he moved within the group to Caféhaus Siesmayer in Palmengarten, where he also served as head chef from 2005 to 2012. In 2012, at the request of 2-star chef Andreas Krolik, Coskun Yurdakul was drawn back to the Tigerpalast, where he supported him as head chef in the Palastbar restaurant.
Since 2017, Coskun Yurdakul has been leading the kitchen at Tiger Gourmet Restaurant.
Tiger Gourmet Restaurant is distinguished by Yurdakul's unique, character-driven cooking style. His French gourmet cuisine with oriental flavours offers completely new compositions that diners discover and enjoy every night. The Guide Michelin awards Tiger Gourmet Restaurant one star for the 2019 edition for its superior flavor cuisine.
